We'd heard rumors about the wild black mustang out at Top's. And I admit that I did sneak down to her stall while nobody was looking with the intention of forming a special bond with a wild horse. The girl came up to me and snorted and that was that. I quickly remembered that I was not the horse whisperer and tip-toed out of the barn.
Yesterday, Walt got her out to do some ground work. She is still a bit jumpy, understandably, being used to looking out for herself. That snorting she does is a way of smelling out predators. She is also very attentive and sure footed. That will translate to good movement later on.
While we were out walking around the pasture Walter kept saying the horse might still have 'the spirits' with her and would probably lead him to an arrowhead. I silently nodded my head thinking 'oh sure.' Walter found his arrowhead two minutes later.
